FITB-OEO800-2G5 Board Overview
FITB-OEO800-2G5 is an optical fiber link wavelength conve er (fiber amplifier). It regenerates optical signals in the principle of optical-electrical-optical to realize the amplification and wavelength conversion of optical signals. Wavelength division multiplexing can be realized by using C/DWDM multiplexer/de-multiplexer, which especially applies to optical transpo systems such as 125M/155M/622M/1G/2G5/s SDH/SONET, Ethernet etc. It provides rapid and cost-efficient solutions to regeneration of optical signals and transmission of rare fiber resources.

Valid Slots in the Sub-racks
a. In the OEO802 chassis, valid slots of the board are SLOT1 and SLOT2.
b. In the FITB-OEO800-I chassis, valid slots of the board are SLOT2 to SLOT4.
c. In the FITB-OEO800-II chassis, valid slots of the board are SLOT2 to SLOT8.
d. In the FITB-OEO800-V chassis, valid slots of the board are SLOT1 to SLOT15.
Application
The FITB-OEO800-2G5 can be used in two different application scenarios: transparent transmission of four channels of optical signals at any rate, and regeneration of four channels of OTU optical signals. The FITB-OEO800-2G5 board is mainly used to access eight channels of signals at any rate in the range of 125Mbit/s to 2.5Gbit/s, and conve s the signals into DWDM standard wavelength compliant with ITU-T G.694.1 or CWDM standard wavelength compliant with ITU-T G.694.2. Moreover, the conversion in the reverse direction can be achieved.

For the signal flow of the FITB-OEO800-2G5, the transmitting and the receiving directions are defined. The transmitting direction is defined as the direction from the client side to the WDM side, and the receiving direction is defined as the reverse direction.
