Plenum-rated optical fiber cables are different from other types of cabling by the special types of plastics used in the optical fiber cable jackets. Because plenum cables are routed through air circulation spaces, which contain very few fire barriers, they need to be coated in flame-retardant, low smoke materials. These plastics offer good resistance against possible fire, and in the event that they do begin to burn, they will not emit large quantities of harmful fumes.

10 GB 50/125 plenum rated fiber cables offer screaming-fast connections through laser-optimized multimode fiber or LOMMF. It provides suppo for both VCSEL and LED light sources. Plenum fire rated SC to E2000 10GB fiber jumpers are often used for 10 gigabit interconnects between switches, routers, security and storage devices to provide high density speed and performance with the added benefit of pulling these cables through air plenums and down walls without the use of conduit. Our OM3 rated cables are available in custom lengths with just 1-2 days turnaround time from our professional production facilities.
