MTRJ equip to FC Multimode 10G 50/125 Mode Conditioning Patch Cable
Fiberinthebox.COM manufacture and supply standard and custom length 10G 50/125, 62.5/125 and OEM equivalent mode conditioning optical fiber patch cords for 1000BASE-LX Gigabit Ethernet (1300nm long wavelength) applications. These cables are available with ST, SC, LC and MT-RJ connectors.

Mode conditioning fiber patch cables, also known as conditioned launch fiber cables, are used specifically in Gigabit Ethernet 1000BASE-LX (and 1000Base-LH) applications where the objective is deploying new high-speed 1000BASE-LX routers, switches, or transceivers within existing multimode system backbones. Mode conditioning fiber jumpers are used in the 1300nm or 1310nm optical wavelength window, and should not be used for 850nm sho wavelength window such as 1000Base-SX. Also, any attempt to connect 1000Base-LX/LH equipment over sho distances of multimode fiber without the use of mode conditioning fiber will result in a high bit error rate, and eventually damage to the device.

Use in place of standard equipment-to-cable plant patch cord

Notes for using mode conditioning cables to patch an existing multimode cable plant to your Gigabit LX equipment
Mode conditioning cable are normally used in pairs. That means that you will need a Mode Conditioning patch cable at each end to connect the equipment to the cable plant. So then these cables are usually ordered in even numbers. The usual reason why someone may order one cable is so they may keep it as a spare. If your gigabit LX switch is equipped with SC or LC connectors, please be sure to connect the yellow leg (Singlemode) of the cable to the transmit side, and the orange leg (multimode) to the receive side of the equipment. It is imperative that this configuration be maintained on both ends. The swap of transmit and receive can only be done at the cable plant side.
